Edmonton’s own Writer/Rapper/Good Guy, Omar Mouallem, better known as A.O.K. (Assault Of Knowledge) has just finished his latest work, a fresh, witty and fun storybook -slash- concept album for children of all ages (yes, even 75!).

“The project is a juxtaposition of children’s literature, with playful illustrations by Josh Holinaty and a storyline intended to improve kids’ vocabularies, and a rap album (downloadable with a unique code inside the book) that’s not for kids at all. Well, maybe just the wily ones.” – UGSMAG

In Q Without U, AOK tells us a tale about the letters “Q” and “U” (yes, from our alphabet), personified as a couple in a relationship. “Q & U were inseparable, as wherever there was Q there was U.” But for some reason, they are breaking up to see other letters. What happened? What will these crazy letters do now??

The album is, in itself, a story in love songs. 8-Tracks (that’s 8 songs. No, it doesn’t work in your pops old audio player). Each one told in the sincere yet forceful yet comical yet intelligent style of AOK.

Risskant the Woordwoerder has just recently released his new work entitled, “The Boom Bap EP” a 9-track collaboration project with producer Sensei Walingh.

The album is conceptualized around the musical style of boom bap, a format of hip-hop that peaked in popularity during the golden era and has been buried underground since.
